NVP1114A includes 4-CH video decoder, 1-CH video encoder and 4-CH audio codec. 4-CH video decoder delivers high quality images. It accepts separate 4 CVBS inputs from camera, TV, VCR and the other video signal sources. It digitizes and decodes NTSC/PAL video signal into digital components video which represents 8-bit CCIR656 4:2:2 format with 27MHz, 54MHz or 108MHz multiplexed and linear scaler function is added. 1-CH video encoder plays roles of converting the digital ITU-R BT.656 format data into CVBS, Y and C in 10-bit resolution. And there is 2-CH DAC which is fed from the above video encoder. 4-CH audio codec is 4-CH PCM/ADPCM voice codec IC which handles voice band signals(300Hz~3400Hz) with 8-bit/16-bit linear PCM, 8-bit G.711(u-law, A-law) PCM, and 2,3,4 and 5-bit G.726 ADPCM. Built-in voice controller generates digital outputs for ecording/mixing and accepts digital input for playback.
