NVS3022 is a stand-alone DVR SoC, which has a video processor, a built-in ARM processor core, an ATA(PI) controller, a full-speed USB2.0 host controller, a 10/100Base-T Ethernet Network Controller and AMBA-based peripherals. The video processor contains various functional blocks such as a display engine, two 4-Ch record engines, two JPEG encoders, one JPEG decoder, 16-Ch audio interface, PS/2 keyboard mouse interfaces, etc. The encoded data are transferred into the system memory via internal DMA path and stored in an external HDD or CD, DVD-RW or transferred to a network line through Ethernet controller. In playback mode, stored data are transmitted to a video processor through an internal DMA path, decoded with a JPEG decoder and processed in various ways to generate high-quality images. High-performance ARM CPU manages overall operations for DVR applications.
