Summary of Business
Since Citizen Electronics succeeded in mass-producing the world's first surface-mounted type chip LED in 1983, along with the development of cellular phones we have created a wide variety of products such as backlight units, flash LEDs and pastel color LEDs, having established a firm position in the cellular phone market.
We also entered into the lighting LED market in 2003. With the multi-chip packaging technique utilizing our original technology, we have developed LEDs that feature high efficacy and high brightness and have made an impact on the market.
